Our Background

We are experienced wildfire litigators that have recovered more than $1 billion for our clients affected by fires across California.

Members of our team have been appointed to leadership positions by Courts across California for every major wildfire litigation in the past decade. Specifically, Dave Fox has been appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committees by the Los Angeles Superior Court for the 2017 Thomas/Ventura Fire Litigation and the 2018 Woolsey/Malibu Fire Litigation. Dave was also appointed by the San Francisco Superior Court to lead the 2017 North Bay Fire Litigation as a member of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee. He was also appointed by the Sacramento Superior Court to lead the 2015 Butte Fire Litigation as a member of the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee. Attorney Joanna Fox was appointed by the Sacramento Superior Court to the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee for the 2021 litigation against PG&E arising out of the Dixie Fire.

Additionally, because of his significant trial experience, in 2015 Dave was brought in by another law firm as trial counsel for the first preference plaintiff’s case in the Powerhouse Fire litigation in Los Angeles, leading to a $103 million recovery for all plaintiffs.

Fox Fire attorneys have also handled wildfire cases nationwide, including Washington, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.

Even if you have insurance,

You will almost certainly find that you will not be reimbursed for the total cost to rebuild, the total cost for your damaged trees, crops, farms and vegetation, the hours you have spent to restore and tend to fire related issues, cherished family possessions, any personal injuries, and the annoyance and discomfort you have gone through. These damages can be pursued through legal action.  Our attorneys file separate claims on behalf of each individual, business, ranch, winery, homeowner, and renter. We never file class actions for wildfire cases because each case is particularly unique and needs to be treated separately.

Proven Results

Our team of skilled attorneys have facilitated hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries for wildfire survivors. We have represented more than 2,500 individuals and businesses that were impacted by various fires, including the North Bay Fires, Thomas Fire, Camp Fire, Woolsey Fire, Kincade Fire, Slater Fire, Zogg Fire, Mountain View Fire and, more recently, the Mill and McKinney Fires.

We are lawyers that aggressively and successfully pursue compensation for our clients and collectively our attorneys have decades of experience holding utility companies accountable.
